The Senior Data Analyst will transform data into actionable insights to support business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making in a digital micro-finance banking environment. The role focuses on analysing customer behaviour, product performance, financial transactions, and digital banking metrics to drive data-informed strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.

Data Collection & Management

• Extract, clean, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources, including digital banking platforms, CRM systems, core banking systems, mobile wallets, and third-party financial service providers.
• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely data availability for business analysis.
• Collaborate with Group Data Engineering Team to support the maintenance and optimization of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and other analytical platforms.

Data Analysis & Insights Generation

• Analyse transactional, behavioural, and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business units and management.
• Conduct cohort and segmentation analysis to support targeted campaigns, personalized offerings, and risk assessment.
• Provide actionable insights to support product development, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Design and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Present insights in a clear, concise manner suitable for executives and business decision-makers.
• Support automated reporting processes using the approved Group Enterprise BI tools.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Operations teams to understand analytical needs and translate them into data requirements
• Partner with Group Data Engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow, accessibility, and system integrations.

Regulatory Compliance & Data Governance

• Ensure data analysis and reporting comply with regulatory standards set by CBN, NDIC, and other relevant bodies.
• Adhere to internal data governance policies, always maintaining customer privacy and data security.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, storage, and analytics processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, analytics tools, and best practices in digital banking and micro-finance analytics.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced degree or professional certifications is a plus
