The SEO Content Writer (Digital Marketing Assistant) will write human-written SEO-optimised blog articles, create copy for email marketing campaigns, publish content on WordPress, and build email campaigns and automated journeys.

A growing digital marketing agency is seeking a resourceful Digital Marketing Assistant to support the delivery of digital marketing work for its clients. The agency focuses on helping businesses grow through effective content, email marketing, and SEO strategies.

• Write engaging, human-written, SEO-optimised blog articles that align with client brand guidelines, tone of voice, target audience, and business objectives.
• Use AI tools such as Claude AI and ChatGPT to support SEO research, content planning, and optimisation, without relying on them to produce final written content.
• Write copy for email marketing campaigns and automated sequences, including subject lines, preview text, email body copy, and calls to action.
• Upload, format, proofread, and publish blog articles on WordPress.
• Plan, design, and build email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Klaviyo, working alongside the Creative Director where required.
• Build and manage automated email journeys and flows, including welcome sequences, abandoned cart emails, follow-up campaigns, and customer retention journeys.
• Monitor the performance of blogs, email campaigns, and other marketing activities.
• Support with the preparation of clear and insightful reports for clients.
• Organise workload using internal scheduling applications.
• Provide administrative support to the Founder and wider team as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows.
• Prepare and send client invoices while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with ad hoc operational tasks that support the day-to-day running of the business.

• At least 2 years' relevant experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on copywriting and email marketing.
• Excellent command of written marketing copy and communications that drive sales.
• Proven experience writing SEO-optimised blogs and email marketing copy.
• A good understanding of SEO best practices.
• Experience using WordPress to upload and publish website content.
• Experience using email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo to design campaigns, manage audience segments, and build automated journeys.
• Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.
• Experience using Claude AI and ChatGPT for SEO research and content planning.
• Highly organised and comfortable learning new tools.
