This Short Form Videographer role focuses on producing fast, high-quality, social-native video content that drives engagement, builds brand affinity, and fuels organic growth. The Videographer will lead the capture and editing of short-form vertical video for Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts while supporting long-form storytelling and photography. Primary – Social-First Content Production

• Capture and edit short-form vertical video optimized for social platforms
• Deliver quick-turn edits (often within 24–72 hours)
• Develop strong hooks, pacing, captions, and storytelling structures designed for retention
• Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form assets
• Collaborate with content, agency, visuals and label teams to align content with campaign goals

Secondary – Campaign & Long-Form Support

• Support production of explainers, interviews, and other WeTalkSound video content
• Capture lifestyle and event photography for web, social, and campaign use
• Contribute ideas that align storytelling with brand values and goals

• 1 - 3+ years of experience in videography and editing, ideally in a social-first environment
• Strong portfolio showcasing short-form, vertical, social-native content
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
• Excellent instincts for hooks, pacing, storytelling, and retention
• Experience shooting with mobile/vlogging camera/professional camera equipment and lighting setups
• Strong understanding of social platform dynamics, trends, and content performance
• Strong understanding of African audiences, culture, and internet trends
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Based in Lagos, Nigeria
• Experience in entertainment, music, culture and lifestyle brands is nice to have
• Motion graphics experience is nice to have
• Experience capturing live events is nice to have
• Experience capturing vox pops and interviews is nice to have
• Familiarity with photography editing tools such as Lightroom or Photoshop is nice to have
