We're hiring a Site Operative.
Location: Ijede -Ikorodu

Primary responsibility is to assist skilled and semi-skilled electrical personnel by performing general housekeeping and support tasks that help create a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and washing of electrical maintenance areas, workshops, control rooms (as permitted), cable trenches, and equipment surroundings
• Assist with movement, loading, unloading, and positioning of tools, materials, spares, and light equipment under supervision
• Clean electrical equipment externally, panels, motor housings, cable trays, and work platforms as instructed
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste materials such as dust, scrap, packing materials, rags, and debris
• Assist in preparing work areas before maintenance by clearing obstructions and ensuring safe access
• Support maintenance teams during shutdowns and routine work by ensuring tools and materials are readily available
• Help in post-maintenance cleanup to restore work areas to proper housekeeping standards
• Perform washing of floors, platforms, and equipment surfaces using approved methods and materials

• No formal technical skills required; on-the-job guidance provided
• Ability to follow simple instructions from supervisors and electrical technicians
• Physically fit to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, standing for long periods, and walking across plant areas
• Basic awareness of safety rules and willingness to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work under varying environmental conditions such as heat, noise, dust, and outdoor weather conditions typical of a steam power plant.
