The Social Media Assistant will support content planning and execution, capture and edit multimedia content, manage social media publishing, and engage with online communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and executing the monthly content calendar.
  • Support the implementation of approved content strategies across all social media platforms.
  • Research industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging content opportunities.
  • Generate creative content ideas aligned with the company's marketing objectives.

Content Creation:

  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos for marketing campaigns, corporate events, customer engagements, product launches, and other business activities.
  • Assist with video editing and content preparation using approved editing tools.
  • Produce engaging multimedia content suitable for various digital platforms.
  • Support behind-the-scenes content production and brand storytelling initiatives.

Content Publishing:

  • Schedule and publish approved content across all company social media platforms.
  • Ensure timely execution of the approved content calendar.
  • Maintain consistency in branding, messaging, and visual presentation across all digital channels.

Community Management:

  • Monitor comments, messages, and customer interactions across social media platforms.
  • Respond to inquiries where appropriate and escalate issues requiring management attention.
  • Support initiatives that improve audience engagement and strengthen the company's online community.

Campaign Support:

  • Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Support product launches, exhibitions, corporate events, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of campaign content.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor content performance across digital platforms.
  • Assist in preparing engagement and performance reports.
  • Recommend improvements based on content and campaign performance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timely execution of the monthly content calendar.
  • Posting consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Quality and creativity of multimedia content.
  • Timely coverage of company activities and events.
  • Audience engagement performance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years' experience in Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, Content Creation, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management (e.g., Google Digital Garage, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot) will be an added advantage.
