The Social Media & Communications Manager will own the foundation's voice and presence across every platform, manage day-to-day posting, develop content calendars, engage with communities, and drive fundraising and partnership efforts. This role requires a proactive professional who can turn online engagement into meaningful outcomes for children and families.

About the Company

The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and advocating for children born with congenital heart disease. Every year, an estimated 85,000 children are born with CHD in Nigeria, yet only a fraction have access to timely diagnosis and care. The foundation is committed to turning online attention into real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day posting across all of CHDF Nigeria's social media platforms.
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars with the Multimedia team across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
  • Actively engage with other pages and accounts — comments, replies, collaborations.
  • Spot trending topics, sounds, and conversations early, and connect them back to CHD and the foundation's work in a way that feels natural.
  • Bring energy and ideas to social-media-led fundraising pushes.
  • Engage meaningfully with other organisations, healthcare professionals, influencers, policymakers, potential partners, donors, and communities.
  • Grow following and engagement across all platforms, with a clear eye on what's actually working.
  • Lead the Multimedia team to keep everything aligned.
  • Identify and nurture online relationships that can lead to partnerships, collaborations, donations, and other opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Health Sector.
  • Has grown a page, brand, or personal audience before, with real engagement to show for it.
  • Genuinely enjoys being visible and interactive online, not just posting quietly from behind a screen.
  • Proficient in Canva, Meta Business Suite, and analytics platforms.
  • Familiar with AI content generation and animation tools.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Passion for health, humanitarian work, or non-profit communications is a strong advantage.
  • Medical/Health-related background is a strong advantage.
