The Elevation Church is a nondenominational, multi-location religious organization with over 20,000 members. It exists to develop its members as witnesses of Christ, empowering them to attain the highest level of distinction and greatness while serving God and humanity. The church's Developer team builds applications needed to support its mission and operations.

To support the Developer team to build applications needed by The Elevation Church. The intern will work as part of a team of highly experienced developers to develop and maintain new and existing features based on specific product roadmap.

• Location: Lekki, Lagos
• Job Type: Full-time Internship
• Expires: 4 months from now

• Work as part of a team of highly experienced developers to develop and maintain new/existing features based on specific product roadmap.
• Produce fully functional programs/web applications written in clean/readable PHP.
• Review feature requests with Project Managers and propose design solutions.
• Keep up with the latest technology developments and make recommendations on product direction, technology and features.
• Technology Hub Operations Management: Active participation in preparing tools and designs for coordinating and operating a technology hub.

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Relevant Experience (Type and minimum years expected):
  • 3+ years' experience Solid knowledge of PHP7/8 in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • MySQL development experience.
  • Experience using one or more PHP frameworks (Codeigniter, Laravel & WordPress).
  • Experience writing unit or e2e tests.
  • Proficiency in using versioning system such as Git/GitHub.

Other Information

• This is an internship role, but requires 3+ years of commercial PHP experience, which is atypical for an internship. Applicants should carefully review this requirement.
• The role involves both software development and technology hub operations management.
