The Store/Inventory Officer will receive, inspect, and document incoming goods, organise and maintain stock, issue materials based on authorised requests, monitor stock levels, conduct regular physical stock counts, and prepare inventory reports. This role requires a candidate with strong numerical and record-keeping skills.

A company in the Diversified Services industry is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Store/Inventory Officer to manage inventory and support efficient store operations. The organization is dedicated to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring effective inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly document incoming goods and materials.
  • Organise and maintain stock to ensure proper identification, accessibility, and efficient use of store space.
  • Issue materials and items based on authorised requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and documentation of stock movements.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile inventory variances.
  • Monitor damaged, expired, obsolete, or slow-moving stock and report accordingly.
  • Prepare periodic inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Support stock audits and investigations into inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure appropriate storage conditions and compliance with company inventory control and store management procedures.
  • Perform other store and inventory-related duties as assigned by Management.

Required Skills

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years experience in storekeeping, inventory management, logistics, or a related role.
  • Good knowledge of inventory control and stock management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong numerical, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain proper documentation and work with minimal supervision.
