The Storekeeper will oversee store operations, manage inventory using specialized software, verify merchandise, and coordinate deliveries while maintaining accurate records and ensuring workplace safety within the organisation’s Itire-Surulere branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer daily store operations efficiently
  • Receive, identify, and verify all incoming merchandise accurately
  • Maintain inventory levels using inventory management software
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for stock replacement proactively
  • Maintain organized files for invoices, order numbers, receiving dates, and shipping documentation
  • Verify ledgers, statements, and supporting financial documents regularly
  • Handle and store special products requiring knowledge of spontaneous combustion, toxicity, fragility, or contamination risks
  • Arrange stock according to established procedures and suggest substitutes during emergencies or product obsolescence
  • Oversee scheduled merchandise deliveries and coordinate special delivery logistics
  • Keep accurate records of items shipped, received, or transferred between locations
  • Update procurement team on stock status to prevent stock-outs
  • Maintain equipment and instruments in working condition
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all work areas consistently

Required Skills

  • OND from any reputable institution
  • Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
  • Data entry skills are required
  • High sense of integrity and honesty
  • Must be able to work specifically at the Itire-Surulere Branch location
  • Ability to handle sensitive materials safely and follow storage protocols
