We are looking for a Systems-level Rust Engineer to work on an ephemeral healthcare security architecture. The system is designed to provably destroy sensitive data in memory between transactions, ensuring there is nothing running and nothing to attack. This role focuses on language-level guarantees for memory secrecy, not just memory safety.

• Build and maintain a healthcare data intermediation layer using Rust.
• Implement components that spin up, handle sensitive data, and provably destroy themselves and everything in memory.
• Work with transaction-scoped keys and composite message processing where splices authenticate and route without reading payload content.

• Understands the difference between memory safety and memory secrecy.
• Experience with zeroize, the secrecy crate, or similar in Rust.
• Has touched cryptographic implementations (ring, RustCrypto, sodiumoxide).
• Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Healthcare experience is NOT required. The architecture handles the healthcare complexity; you handle the Rust.
