Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance

  • Prepare and file corporate tax, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
  • Ensure timely remittance of all tax obligations.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor tax deadlines and compliance schedules.

Tax Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare tax computations and reconciliations.
  • Support preparation of deferred and current tax schedules.
  • Analyze financial records to identify tax exposures and opportunities.
  • Assist with tax provisioning and reporting requirements.

Regulatory & Audit Support

  • Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies where necessary.
  • Support tax audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
  • Assist in responding to tax queries and assessments.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and communicate implications to management.

Advisory & Process Improvement

  • Conduct tax research and provide insights on regulatory developments.
  • Assist with tax planning initiatives and risk management activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and compliance efficiency.
  • Support implementation of internal tax controls and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA).
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting/tax software.
