- Minimum of a 2.2 in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communications, Design, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Google UX Design Professional Certificate, Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) Certifications, Nielsen Norma Group (NN/g) UX or equivalent are an advantage.
- Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in UI/UX design, product design, or a related role.
- A portfolio showcasing UX/UI projects and demonstrating design process, problem-solving approach, and outcomes.
- Solid understanding of UX design principles, user-centred design methodologies, and information architecture.
- Familiarity with user research methods and usability testing techniques.
- Proficiency in design tools, including Figma, Adobe XD or InVision.
- Experience with collaborative design and whiteboarding tools (e.g., Miro, Mural, FigJam).
- Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design for web and mobile applications.
- Working knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles (e.g., WCAG 2.1).
- Basic understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML and CSS).
- Awareness of AI tools and their application for design.
- Understanding of agile and iterative product development processes.
