Job Description

A very early-stage deeptech startup is looking for a UI/UX designer with experience in complex dashboards or industrial interfaces to design a control room interface for a manufacturing line from the ground up. This is a full-time contract position with an opportunity for Full-Time Employment (FTE). The work is remote/WFH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma and other necessary tools.
  • Own the end-to-end design process from concept to handoff.
  • Gather user feedback and translate insights into design improvements.
  • Ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience across the product.
  • Create the design system, interface architecture, and visual language that makes it look like a real industrial platform.
  • Design an ISA-standard equipment icon set for P&ID representation.
  • Design the full P&ID canvas layouts, motions, and component visual representation.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of UX for operational software.
  • Proficiency in Figma (this is a must) and other design tools like Adobe XD or Sketch.
  • Experience creating and maintaining a full design system used by an engineering team is advantageous.
  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces, complex dashboards, or control systems.
  • A portfolio showcasing UI/UX work, ideally for digital products.
  • Ability to work independently and move fast.
  • Good eye for detail and a user-first mindset.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Data visualization principles, Human factors engineering, and Industrial UI design.
  • Access to own laptop.
