Lifted Horizon is recruiting on behalf of one of our UK-based clients for a Video Content Creator to produce engaging social media content for a major true crime documentary. The ideal candidate will transform real evidence court transcripts, audio recordings, WhatsApp messages, and CCTV footage into compelling TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube content that grows audience engagement and builds awareness. 

This role is based in Nigeria, with some collaboration or check-ins with the UK client as required. It provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to develop a professional portfolio while receiving guidance from experienced documentary producers.

· Create, edit, and publish short-form videos (30–90 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
· Develop longer-form YouTube content (3–15 minutes), including timelines, evidence breakdowns, character profiles, and interview teasers.
· Design graphics and motion design elements: captions, overlays, infographics, timelines, and character maps.
· Produce audio content: podcasts, audiograms, and voice-over clips where legally appropriate.
· Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with documentary production schedules.
· Optimise content for each platform and monitor trends to adapt style and format.
· Track engagement metrics, analyse performance, and provide regular reporting.
· Collaborate with the UK documentary team to ensure messaging consistency and creative alignment.
· Transform complex legal evidence into engaging, accurate, and visually compelling social media content.

· Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
· 1–3 years’ experience, with a strong portfolio or showreel showcasing social media content creation.
· Proficiency in video editing software: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
· Deep understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and short-form content trends.
· Creative eye for storytelling, pacing, hooks, and visual engagement.
· Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to feedback quickly.
· Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills.

Desirable:
· Experience with motion graphics software (After Effects, Motion).
· Skills in colour grading, audio mixing, and thumbnail/graphic design (Photoshop, Canva).
· Knowledge of YouTube SEO, algorithms, and audience growth strategies.
· Experience creating content for campaigns or platforms with measurable engagement metrics.
