Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and produce high-quality video content for ads, social media, corporate comms, events, and digital campaigns.
  • Review raw footage to select optimal shots, sequences, and takes for final production.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Art, Account Management, and Production teams to align on project requirements.
  • Translate creative concepts and scripts into engaging visual narratives with strong pacing and composition.
  • Apply transitions, effects, color grading, motion graphics, subtitles, and sound design as needed.
  • Adapt content into various formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Synchronize audio/video, clean up sound, and integrate appropriate music and sound effects.
  • Create both short-form (reels/ads) and long-form (documentaries/interviews/corporate) video content.
  • Implement client and stakeholder revisions while preserving creative integrity and brand guidelines.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive video files, project assets, and footage libraries.
  • Assist with video shoots providing technical input on framing, lighting, and sound when required.
  • Stay current with emerging editing techniques, software updates, and social media trends.

Required Skills

  • Strong storytelling and visual communication capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of video editing and post-production workflows.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and motion graphics is an added advantage.
  • Basic skills in color grading, sound mixing, typography, and visual effects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and consistency in output quality.
  • Deep understanding of social media content formats and current digital trends.
  • Ability to work effectively within strict deadlines and fast-paced agency environments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent in Film Production, Mass Communication, Creative Arts, Media, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant video editing experience, preferably in advertising, media, marketing, or creative agencies.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and storytelling capabilities is mandatory.
  • Proven experience creating content specifically for digital and social media platforms is highly desirable.
