• Salary: ₦120,000 – ₦150,000/month (depending on experience and performance during practical assessment)

A media project is looking for a creative and highly teachable Video Editor to work on long-form True Crime documentaries for YouTube. The organization focuses on producing engaging, high-quality content for digital audiences.

1. Generate the voiceover using the provided script.
2. Find and download authentic footage and images relevant to the case — CCTV, bodycam footage, police images, news footage, suspect images, locations, court footage, and appropriate B-roll.
3. Edit and assemble the complete documentary using CapCut.
4. Match visuals properly with the narration and maintain good pacing throughout the video.
5. Add appropriate background music, sound effects, text, headlines, maps, and other visual elements where necessary.
6. Organise all footage and project files properly.
7. Make necessary revisions after review.

• Must currently live in Lagos.
• Must own a good, functional laptop capable of video editing.
• Must know how to use CapCut.
• Good command of English.
• Good internet research skills.
• Ability to find authentic footage and images online.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and ElevenLabs is an advantage.
• Reliable access to electricity and internet.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Must be willing to learn and improve quickly.
• Previous experience editing YouTube documentaries, true crime videos, or other long-form content is an advantage, but not compulsory if you can demonstrate good editing ability.
• No academic degree is required.
