The Warehouse Specialist will manage effective receipts, storage, control, and issuance of engineering, raw, and packaging materials required to meet production targets, while maintaining warehouse layout and space management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing layout and space management; effective warehouse keeping; work organization chart; procedures such as SOP as applicable.
  • Manage stock control: the self-assured receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of goods; transferring; document recording and data entry into system.
  • Plan, organize, and control store overall operations, maintaining end-to-end activities with all user departments.
  • Put adequate measures and controls in place to ensure uninterrupted unloading of raw materials into Raw Materials Store.
  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems within the section and respond to and deal with customer communication by email, fax, and telephone as applicable.
  • Ensure issuance of materials by rotating inventory (FIFO) to avoid obsolescence, expiry, and loss of company resources.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register and ensure tracker for materials on a returnable and non-returnable basis.
  • Ensure 100% shelf visibility and rack compliance by good manufacturing practice.
  • Ensure prompt documentation of materials/items receipt by generating SRVs and dispatch same with suppliers' invoice(s) to Finance accordingly.
  • Issue inventory in line with policies and procedures. Report items receipts without LPOs, Obsolete Materials Report, dead stock report, Materials Consumption report, OVP Delivery Report, Materials Expiry Report.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any other related field.
  • 1–3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of Warehouse and Distribution.
  • Good communication skills – oral and written.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision or any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
