Job Description

The WBG Pioneers Internship Programme is a paid international internship offering final-year undergraduate students and current postgraduate students the opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to real global development projects across technical, operational, and corporate functions.

  • Job Location: Multiple Locations (Office-based, remote, or hybrid depending on vacancy)
  • Employment Type: Internship (4 weeks – 6 months, Fall/Winter 2026 Cycle: October 2026 – March 2027)
  • Salary: Paid (Compensation based on internship track and duty location; housing not provided)

Its institutions include the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Development Association, International Finance Corporation, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute directly to ongoing World Bank Group workstreams.

Required Skills

  • Final-year undergraduate student OR currently enrolled in a master's or PhD programme.
  • 0–6 years of professional work experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Citizen of a World Bank Group member country.
  • Strong commitment to the World Bank Group's mission and values.
  • Meet any additional academic, technical, or location-specific conditions stated in the selected vacancy.
  • Graduates who are no longer enrolled and are not final-year undergraduate students do not meet general eligibility unless stated otherwise.
